I first attempted watercolor painting in  my high school art class. I wasn’t happy with those first efforts, and wanted to try again, but work, children, and travel kept me too busy. At last I took up painting again, and I’ve been much happier with these results. I use watercolor, colored pencil, and ink.  My favorite subjects are flowers and outdoor scenes.

House on a Hill is one of my earlier paintings.

Fiery Orchids was inspired by the orchid show at Franklin Park Conservatory in Columbus, Ohio.

Late Summer by the River illustrates a tree on the bank of the Olentangy River, where my husband and I volunteer as Ohio Scenic Rivers Stream Quality Monitors. This painting was awarded a first place in an Ohio Valley Regional Arts Council competition.

Caladiums illustrates a lovely group of pink caladiums I grew in the summer of 2016.

Greenway Trail, Late Summer was inspired by the lovely Greenway Trails system near my home in Pickerington, Ohio.
